Reviews and Ratings
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. While the room was spacious with separate options for shower and bathtub, the lack of expected amenities like a hair dryer and in-room internet was disappointing. On the bright side, the kitchenette added great value to the room, allowing for self-cooking. The service was a mixed bag with some staff being ill-trained, but others were welcoming and attentive to our preferences. The location, though expansive and beautiful, lacked evening entertainment options. The dining experience ranged from average to poor, with standout dishes like the delicious gyu-don. Overall, the facilities were acceptable, but the service and dining fell short.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms, although not as advertised online, were spacious, comfortable, and offered a direct view over the Lake, which was lovely. However, it was disappointing to discover that the room I stayed in was being used by housekeepers as their break room. Despite this, the room was clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated, offering a pleasant ambiance.
Staying at Speke Resort by Lake Victoria was a truly amazing experience. The rooms offer a perfect view of Lake Victoria and the Jetty, making it a pearl of Uganda. However, some amenities like a hair dryer and in-room internet were lacking compared to what the website indicated.
Staying at the hotel offered a mix of pros and cons. The rooms, though luxurious with a remarkable view of gardens and the lake, were beyond our budget due to being Presidential Suites. Looking onto the illuminations provided a perfect relaxation spot. However, the rooms were used as a break room by the housekeepers, which could be a drawback.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The rooms were clean and reasonably well-furnished with all modern conveniences. The housekeeping staff was very polite and helpful. The spacious room with separate options for shower and bathtub, along with a kitchenette, added great value to my experience. However, the service, although adequate, did not quite match the luxury standard one might expect for the price paid.
I had a lovely stay at this hotel. The rooms are good, spacious, and offer great views at very reasonable prices. The one-bedroom suite was a real treat with a natural view and complimentary nets to keep mosquitoes at bay. The service was top-notch, accommodating individual wishes to make my evening by Lake Victoria memorable. The location, right by the shore of Lake Victoria, is stunning. The dining experience was amazing, with a delightful mix of local, Indian, and English dishes.
The hotel offers a basic but clean and comfortable room with all the necessary amenities, making the stay quite enjoyable.
The hotel offers a perfect place to relax with illuminating views of Lake Victoria and the Jetty. The immediate check-in was convenient, but upfront payment was required before receiving the keys. The rooms are equipped with a comfortable bed, adequate TV, internet facilities, and boast a perfect view of Lake Victoria and the Jetty.
I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The rooms were spacious, with the option for a separate shower and bathtub, and the kitchenette added great value, allowing for cooking. The interior decor was extraordinary, and I particularly enjoyed the small terrace that provided a quiet retreat.
The resort is truly amazing, like the pearl of Uganda. The rooms are spacious, well-maintained, and provide a fantastic experience. However, there's a lack of proper facilities for business travelers. Whenever I feel blue, this place cheers me up!
